Mextra HORIZON Wooden Chair Black

HORIZON has something of a well-designed architectural detail about it. The slim frame, wide backrest and clearly separated seat create a silhouette that is light yet full of character. It is a wooden chair for restaurants, cafés and hotels that want to avoid furniture that feels randomly selected. It offers the durability needed to perform reliably in your venue for many years.

Solid wood. Construction designed for intensive use

Behind the understated form is a solid base made from solid oak seasoned using the Long-Rest method. Elements with more complex shapes are made from curved, multi-layer plywood finished with veneer. This construction provides high rigidity and handles loads well while maintaining maximum visual appeal. The entire chair is protected by a lacquer layer that helps protect the wood from the effects of everyday use in a busy dining area.

At the connection points, we use expansion dowels. They firmly secure the structure and reduce the development of play, which is particularly important when chairs are frequently moved, used and repositioned as the room layout changes.

Easy to style. For design enthusiasts

HORIZON works best in interiors that do not need excessive decoration. It can sit beside a stone tabletop in a fine casual restaurant, around small tables in a designer café or in a light-filled hotel dining room. It works particularly well with veneer, raw plaster, glass, brushed metal and soft textiles. The wide, curved backrest creates a distinctive outline, while the slim legs keep the space visually open. As a result, the entire dining area can still feel light even when it contains a large number of seats.

HORIZON gives designers plenty of freedom. It suits both calm interiors inspired by modernism and more elegant, hotel-style schemes. It is a premium café and restaurant chair that does not try to dominate the table, lighting or architecture. Instead, it brings structure to the composition and makes the space feel deliberately designed.

At the customer’s request, the seat of the HORIZON model can be upholstered at an additional cost.
